About Us

Welcome to the Craft Coffin!

Craft Coffin is a small craft and sticker business owned and run by two queer, disabled, Latinx sisters.

Alice, Agender (Shi/Hir, She/Her, Xe/Xer) is our resident sewist. Shi makes the many bags, wallets, and scrunchies available in our shop. She also crochets a variety of plushies, bandanas, and scarves.
Zaira, Genderqueer (She/Her, He/Him), is the visual artist. She designs and draws the art used for our stickers and keychains.

As Mexican-Americans born here in California, USA, we've struggled our whole lives to feel like part of a community. We never learned to speak Spanish as children and the majority of students at our school were a different ethnicity than us. We felt out of place and adrift for many years. As we grew older, various accidents lead to us both gaining disabilities that affected our abilities to work "normal" jobs. We both went to college. Alice worked a job to the best of her ability while doing her studies. I spent my years in college using my free time as caregiver to our chronically ill mother. When Alice and I graduated, we realized our health would keep us out of those "normal" jobs we dreamed of. With our mother still needing care, Alice and I realized we needed to make a change. We have always been creative people. We realized that if we could not find community then we would make community. We took our respective creative passions and pushed them forward into creating Craft Coffin!


We crafted this business of selling spooky-cute arts and handicrafts because we've always adored a mix of the cute and creepy. We did not have access to a lot of spooky things when we were younger. Once we were grown, we gravitated towards cute and campy horror. Mix cute in with the macabre and you bake up the perfect taste of us. We hated how difficult it is to find spooky-themed when it's not Fall and wanted to correct that. In our shop you'll find homemade bags, wallets, and stickers inspired by our love of horror, pop culture, and splash of cute.

As hardworking artists, we are adamantly against the use of Generative AI. All art from our stickers and keychains are custom designed by us. All patterns for sewn and crocheted items were all crafted by real humans.
